Gulf Coast Pods and the Super Bowl

This last weekend, members of the Gulf Coast area Pods volunteered to prepare and serve first responders working the Super Bowl in Houston.  The week before the Super Bowl has many activities throughout the city and the time and efforts put in by the many first responders requires an enormous amount of planning and manpower. The Pods prepared and served 1000 Frito pies on Saturday working two separate feed times.   Special thank you's need to go out to Lay's for providing the Frito's, Fuddruckers for supplying over 1000 chocolate cookies for dessert, and Memco for the use of a van to transport the volunteers to the site.  To all the Houston area Pods that provided financial support, the members that made product donations and to the many dedicated workers that helped to make this day an amazing time, thank you so very much.  CASI is truly a caring, dedicated organization and  its a pleasure to see our members step up in times of need with their time and generosity.
