Good afternoon everyone. Your Board of Directors completed their Winter Board meeting last weekend at the Irving Elks Lodge. First, we would to thank the Irving Elks for their hospitality. As usual , they made us feel welcomed. The Board had a very constructive and fruitful workshop and meeting. The minutes from the meeting will be forthcoming. Please take the time to read the minutes so that you can be informed and up to date. Thank you everyone.
Today we lost this one of a kind dear friend. For those that knew him we called him "Skippy" (Ernest Lynn Howell). We shared some awesome memories and will cherish them all more today than ever before. Skippy lived life to the fullest and you would never spend any time around him without laughing so hard he would make you almost pee your pants. We will miss you Skippy. R. I.P.

If you are headed to the SOT Pod/River Runners CCO this weekend, the Houston area Pods could use your help. They have taken on a daunting task of providing chili to approximately 900 people on Saturday, January 28. This is a wonderful opportunity to get our name out there. They are looking for volunteers and more importantly, they are needing throwdown chili. If you happen to have a freezer full and would like to help the cause, you can bring your throw down to the cook off this weekend and they will gladly take it off your hands. If you need more information please get in contact with Nancy Netardus, GP of Piney Woods Pod and she can give you more details. At the cook off, i believe that Pat Krenek can take that frozen, delicious chili off your hands. Thank you everyone.
