CASI Pioneer Awards
When individuals distinguish themselves in such a way that they stand out clearly as leaders in the birth of an idea or development they are recognized as pioneers.  With that thought, CASI is honored to list the CASI Pioneer Award recipents

2010 -  
Frank Tolbert – Originator First Terlingua Cookoff   
Bill Neale – Designer of first years of poster for Terlingua Cookoff                 
Carroll Shelby – Originator First Terlingua Cookoff/ Owner of Terlingua Land

Ray King - Originator of CASI, Inc.  / Wrote the first CASI rules / Developed the business side of CASI / 1st Executive Director
Richard Knight – Designed CASI Chili Pepper Logo/Originator of Southwest Ladies Open/Developed sponsors to provide Terlingua's 1st Ambulance/Developed the vision statement for CASI/Past CASI Director, Tallymaster, Executive Director and President/ Assisted in originating new Pods in Florida and Tennessee.

Alegani Jani Schofield – Originator of Ladies State  at Luckenbach / First Lady to Win Terlingua   
Larry Burruss – Originator of First Texas Championship – Chilympiad for Men/President during Tolbert lawsuits
Doris Coats – First human Great Pepper of North Texas/Dallas Pod /Originator of Southwest  Ladies Open/Assisted in developing Texas Open CCO

Judie King – Served on First CASI Board of Directors and a CASI, Inc. director
Pat Irvine King – CASI Attorney of Record for many years/Member of 1st CASI Board
Vann York – Served on first CASI Board / Designed CASI Pepper TICC trophy

John Caffey – First elected Alcalde of Old 320
Ken Hudspeth – Served as ED during purchase of CASI Ranch
Ken Large – Leader of the clearing and construction of the CASI Ranch
Bob Whitefield – Originator of the CASI Ranch idea and the Old 320

Jim Stateczny – Designed and implemented the first CASI website and business system; chili.org
Ray Calhoun – Author of “How to cook competitive chili” / Assisted many first time cooks

Hut Brown – Originated the CASI scholarship fund / Long term CASI Executive Director

Rex Jones – Past Director
Robert Bell – Developed auctions and merchandise sales to pay off CASI’s attorney’s fees/Past President
Elton Homesley – 1st Off Board Tally Master
Tex Scholfield – Is recognized as the original “Mouth of the South” / TICC MC
Ron Charlton – Assisted in the development of the original showmanship rules
Ralph Hay – Past Alcalde, Tallymaster, and CASI President

Johnye Harriman -
As former CASI Executive Director, developed the original CASI blog and the original CASI Book of       Lists
Wendell Rankin - Developed the original cook's painted stoves and cook stands
John Montgomery -  Originated the first CASI cookoffs in the Colorado and Tri-State Areas to expand CASI

2018
Jim Ezell - 
Developed Friends of CASI program and grew CASI TICC sponsorships
Ruby Ross - Charter member of the Highland Lakes Pod and Howdy Roo Chili Cookoff. Got granite donated for 1st Memorial board at Rancho CASI de los Chisos.

Ken Rodd -  Developed the Board's idea for development of Krazy Flats - 1st Mayor of Krazy Flats
