Why are you interested in the CASI Board position?
I grew up in a family that loves and cooks Chili. My father has cooked Chili on 5 continents for groups all around the world. While he never cooked competitively it was always his dream to cook at Terlingua. I share with him a love for cooking, a love for Chili, and a heart to share these things with others. CASI creates an environment where my passions can be joined together, and we can use that to not only have fun, but to impact the communities where we cook and serve through financial giving. After nearly three years as a member of CASI, I now want to serve on the Board of Directors to provide new energy to the organization, and to help the organization grow and look to what future might be. Our family has made many new connections and relationships in CASI and we want to ensure that this opportunity is ready and available for future generations.

How will the organization benefit from you serving as a CASI Director?
CASI will benefit from my service as a Director because I bring to the organization the skills and abilities necessary to plan and prepare for the future, streamline operational efficiencies, and because I (and my family) have an innate heart for service to others. At this time in the CASI Organization, it is more important than ever to infuse the organization with new ideas and opportunities to ensure that CASI remains relevant in 2025 and beyond.

I love to cook CHILI! I love to raise money and serve in CHARITIES! And, I love to have FUN! See you all down the CHILI TRAIL as one of your next CASI DIRECTORS in 2025!!
