    CASI EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR APPLICATION
    ​QUALIFICATIONS AND INFORMATION

    2025 Great Pepper Meeting
    THIS IS APPLICATION FOR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 
    The final deadline to submit this application is July 1, 2025
    Note:  Deadline to have your personal announcement to the Terlingua Trails
    for the August edition is 07/15/2025. 
    Please review the attached duties, requirement, and expectations of a Director.  If elected as a Director you will be required to sign the CASI Code of Conduct.

    I certify that I have read the director job description and expectations stated below, and that I have the computer skills, time to answer/reply to multiple daily emails, time to attend scheduled board meetings, and time and desire to be at TICC the weekend before and stay through the Sunday after TICC for clean up.
     
    I agree that I understand the importance of the CASI Code of Conduct and will always act in the best interest of CASI.  I will support, promote, and represent CASI throughout my elected term.   If elected, I agree to sign the CASI Code of Conduct. 

    ​Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations of a CASI Director
     
    1.   A CASI Director must be computer literate, have Internet access, and email capabilities.  As a CASI Director, you will receive daily emails from board members, CASI members and cookoff promoters.  You will be expected to answer the emails on a timely basis.
     
    2.  A CASI Director must attend all schedule Board Meetings and Workshops:
    1. Winter meeting – workshop typically on Saturday and Board meeting on Sunday 
      1. and usually schedule the later part of January or early part of February
    2. Summer meeting – typically on a Saturday of the 4th weekend in June
    3. Great Peppers Meeting -  Friday and Saturday of the weekend immediately following Labor day
    4. TICC meetings – as needed while on site
    5. Special meetings – if called
     
    3.  TICC schedule – arrive in time to perform your assigned duties, no later than 8:00 a.m. on Monday.  The Director must complete their assigned duties, work their assigned schedules, and is always on call.  Be available Sunday morning after TICC to complete assigned clean up duties.
     
    4.  A director must willingly accept and perform all duties for any office to which you are elected, to any committee appointed or any other functions assigned to you.
     
    5.  A director must act in the best interest of CASI and must support, promote, and represent CASI throughout your term.
     
    6.  A director must attend CASI chili cookoffs throughout the year, when practical.
